1+ years at Melkweg

Head of Innovation & Business Development

Please give us a quick professional introduction!

I am in charge of the innovation practice & business development. A kind of a jack of all trades, master of none, I wore so many hats in my past: I was an entrepreneur for 15 years in early-stage startups & boutique agencies, CEO, software product manager, growth/viral marketer, creative / UX strategist, B2B sales guy, journalist, community builder, bootcamp creator, recruiter, etc. My bachelor degree is in business communications & studied MBA in Budapest & New York City focusing on innovation & technology management.

How did you get into the industry?

I started my career during the college years as a freelance (online) journalist & webdesigner in the Flash era, but I realized that (a) I would not like to work only with texts-news-editorials in my whole life, also (b) I am not talented enough for the visual track (but still I have been studying a lot of usability research, conversation optimization, accessibility principles). Then straight out of the communication college in 2007, I co-founded a viral & buzz marketing focused creative agency, during our 7 years journey, our company produced a lot of viral spots, digital contents, even a few TVCs, among a lot of other ATL/BTL/online/app/etc. stuff. These were super awesome years of my career, we worked on brands in CEE, just to name a few, AVON, AXN, easyHotel, Eurosport, FHB Bank, Lego, Nike, MusicTV, Ottakringer, Subway, Telekom, Unilever.

What is your superpower?

Unorthodox creativity, strong empathy, deep drive to make others happy.

What were your favourite projects so far?

I just joined Melkweg in early 2024, hopefully a lot of projects from our spaceship will be on this list. So I picked up my recent startup, a free community e-learning venture, which taught UX/UI design globally in partnerships with e. g. UXPin, Optimal Workshop, Convert.com, LuckyOrange. It was awarded for its social impact potential by the United Nations founded World Summit Awards. I was the co-founder, head of product & growth there.

What do you do if you are not working?

Happy family life, listening to underground electronic music, qigong, shinrin-yoku.

How do you grow professionally?

I strongly believe in learning by doing, so most times I just give it a try first and read a lot & ask around if I got blocked. I am enthusiastic about chewing knowledge about innovation, software, creativity, (applied) visual arts, business & personal growth, plus anything in between those.
