I’m one of the front-end devs of our team, and have been contemplating on the correct pronunciation of “gif” here since the past 6 years. :) As an accomplice to putting those annoying cookie consent popups on your favorite websites, I’m destined to compensate for them with actually usable interfaces (that come after accepting the almighty privacy policy pop-ups).
Like many of us in the industry, I also fall into the category of self-taught developers (I really feel sorry for the bootcamps that went broke since my journey started!). I settled for learning web development by the end of university, when I started wondering what makes the difference between good and bad websites. I've been seeking the answer ever since, getting closer day by day…
I can choose names for my variables that I still understand after coming back to the codebase 2 months later.
jazzy.hu was quite a fun project to work on, I really think we created the highest quality radio portal which is available today on the Hungarian market. I could also mention our sister company’s site, gyar.com for its visuals. And basically anything else that has to do with automation, like getholiapp.com that helps automating your company’s day-offs management.
I play the guitar and pet my cat, like any normal developer does.
Excel is pretty sick once you discover what it’s capable of doing. Other than that, I really enjoy configuring my Raspberry Pi once in a while, it’s a great way to get your hands dirty with networks and server management in general.
For me, automation is king. I really enjoy opportunities to create systems that replace old-school paperwork and/or automate digital tasks. Time is the most valuable currency of our times, so I’m always happy to save some for myself, our clients & users –– and I strive to get better at it every day.
